There is all kinds of misinformation and lack of information going on here.

When someone takes statins, the cells are impaired from making cholesterol so they try to take the cholesterol from the blood stream. The LDL receptors on each cell go into overdrive and try to ‘receive’ more LDL from the blood stream to compensate for the fact that the cell can’t currently make as much itself. This lowers the cholesterol in the blood stream. (Please remember that LDL stands for Low Density Lipoprotein – it is not cholesterol, let alone bad cholesterol. Similarly HDL stands for High Density Lipoprotein – it is not cholesterol, let alone good cholesterol).
That’s how statins lower cholesterol and that’s how statins kill us one cell at a time.

As I reseach this topic more, the more I relaize how much we are clueless about cholestorel and fat, and that "they" are free to have a "field day" playing with us on this issue.

Daily dose of 2 tsp of Chia Seeds. (in Almond milk or such) helps even out Omega mix

WELL.
One in four Americans over 45 are on Statins. Few know of their side effects.
Statins suppress the immune system and production of
coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), which is necessary for normal heart function. They also reduce cholesterol and inflammation.
Statins mess with a number of critical functions.
The brain is 75 percent water and 60 percent fat.
It looks like we need the fat.
Especially in the brain.
Without the fat, the brain turns into a bunch of messed up wires.
Vitamins A, D, E & K work with Magnesium, Calcium & Zinc
in the presence of fresh fat to do their jobs which include supporting your immune system.
Fat is absolutely essential.
I am not talking about your excess stored fat either.
You need to be metabolizing fat in the presence of these other nutrients for it all to work properly.
I am not a health or medical expert of any sort, this is my current understanding of things.
I would encourage everyone to start learning to take care of themselves through constant education of health issues from a wide variety of sources other than Big Med or Big Pharma.
