LOOKS GOOD...JUST WON'T FLY |
PAPER MOON VIDEO
YEP.
It looks like the LEM (Lunar Excursion Module) was never tested anywhere.
The gizmo used by Astronauts for training was a special gizmo that simulated landing in a 1 /6th gravity situation.
At least one of them blew up with Neil Armstrong on it, He safely ejected.
Some suggest that there would not have been enough room inside the module for two Astronauts.
About 2 feet by 3 feet.
---
Also, there have been concerns about the stability of such a device with just one engine.
If there is a sudden shift in the weight distribution, the lander could go out of control.
I just cannot see something like this being put out there with NO TESTING.
---
Also, the later missions allegedly carried the Lunar Rover.
I just do not see any room for that device in the module drawings I have seen.
Maybe like they say about the command module parachutes. We compressed them down to where they are hard as wood...
---
P.S. so far I as I know, the Lunar Rovers were $30 MILLION A PIECE!
p.s.s. Before I started my research, I thought we had went. Now I don't
