I once met him out in the general public.

I was on my way to a business trip and parked my car at the Detroit Metropolitan Airports long-term parking area.

I got on the shuttle bus. At the next stop, he got on a sat in the front seat directly across from me.

I looked over...then thought...is that?...no...jerked my head over to look again.

Gordie kept looking forward but got this huge grin on his face.

I was in awe.

You do know he had a miraculous recovery from a major stroke by getting stem cell treatments.

I don't know if he got any more treatments or not.
