As I research, the top of the list is how this is all a myth.
That Christians were never even persecuted.
Well, I myself am being persecuted, big time, and currently being thrown to the "Lions", actually Pit Bulls, the Lions of the 21st Century.
People are putting their attack dogs in my face many times a day and I am attacked by a pit bull 3 times a week.
So I know for a fact that people consumed with hatred will in fact persecute you and throw you to the Lions.
And of course, in the 21st century it needs to be caught and shared on video.
