This is a totally fake situation. Another school drill used as an opportunity for the anti-gun lobby to make it look like we need to ban guns.

NO, we can not.
The number one reason for the second amendment is to keep the US government at bay.
That is right. When it is time for us to take back our country by force, we will have the capacity to do so. That is what our founding fathers intended when they wrote the second amendment.
Might I quote from the second amendment:
"...being necessary to the security of a free State..."
1) does this sound like Duck hunting to you?
2) does this sound like personal protection?
This has to do with the keeping of a free state, that means containing the government.
It also says "...shall not be infringed."
They knew there would be people coming up with excuses to nullify the second amendment.
NO EXCUSES. The second amendment stays as written.
