It seems it was no big deal back then, now it is.

Contributing to complete corruption of the US and governments throughout the world.
It appears that our government has been playing "both sides of the fence" on this issue.

All of this stuff needs to stop.
That is, all this stuff should NOT be anything the government has any say so about.
Now, if we talk about purity, etc., we might talk about the FDA, but they are completely corrupt.
All types of interests would like to see any competing pain relief medication restricted or banned.

The government should NEVER have gotten into this business to begin with.
As an adult, you decide what you want for yourself.
